UNIVERSITIES RANKING

To get classified by Universities, our technical team established a punctuation system  based  on  individual  races.  Our final aim is to encourage participation in this appealing sport so, we will work out a classification by team per category:

  • One man and one woman will score for each University.
  • In the event that one University hasn’t got representation in  a  category or race, they will score as if he/she had arrived two places behind the last person classified in the category (male or female) with the highest number of participants.
  • If an athlete is disqualified or cannot finish the race, they will score one place behind the last one classified in the same category.
  • The best    male    and    female punctuations of each race (Long, Middle and Sprint) will be added (by University).
  • The University with the lowest score will be the first classified.

SCORING EXAMPLE:

20 men and 15 women finish correctly.

1st classified: 1 point

2nd classified: 2 points

3rd classified: 3 points

15th classified:15 points

20th classified in male category: 20 points

The ones who didn’t finish correctly: Male: 21 points, Female: 16 points

Lack of runners: 22 points for each missing athlete (both in male and female categories as the points are based on the category with the highest participation)
